- It is an important part of the planning process to create story boards for any media production, story boards enable the director to see the angles and directions of each shot, creating the shot the way the director wants it can take a lot of time and precision so creating a story board helps the camera person and direction to find a mutual understanding of how the scene is to be shot. Story boards also help to keep the cast and crew updated by providing a sequence to follow and remind them what scene is coming next. Storyboards allow people to plan and work together, finding ideas that work well and placing them in the order that is best suited.
- This was our story board for our production 'Sisters', we wanted to portray the story of two sisters caught between family rivalries. One sister was to be the 'bad' sister who has abandoned her mother for a reason unknown to the audience, we left the reasoning blank in order to create tension, and the other sister was the be the 'good' sister who is still in contact with her mother and is studious. The production will show the reunion of the sisters and the conversation that follows.
